Lauren Burcheri
Classical & Musical Theatre Pianist

My Journey to the Stage
I grew up playing classical music before finding my way to the pit and stages in the student-run theatre community at Rutgers. When I wasn't learning about the history of labor unions and collective bargaining, I spent my time playing in the pit. Previous theatre credits include Mary in [title of show], Assistant Music Directed/Keys I in Avenue Q, and Co-Music Director of Bare: A Pop Opera. I also spent one summer as the Assistant Music Director of The Walut Street Theatre's Camp Walnut, where I worked closely with the Camp's Music Director.

I spend my days working as a Human Resources Professional in the Off-Broadway sector, as I continue to look for my next piano to play. This journey has so far taken me to the stage of Green Room 42 (Standing O Serenades' showcase), the pre-show for the Parlour of Deceptions at The Salmagundi Club of New York, and being 1 of 55 pianists performing in Piano Week in Greenpoint this past April. Follow along here on the many exciting stages where I have been fortunate enough to play on.
